Our Published Book Programme

We bring together experienced specialists in written storytelling, editing, publishing, and vocal storytelling to help organisations create professionally published anthologies of short stories.

Whether you're showcasing research, capturing lived experiences, celebrating hidden professions, or giving voice to underrepresented communities, we'll guide you and your contributors through every stage of the publishing journey.

From the first storytelling workshop to the publication of your finished book, the programme typically takes 6 - 8 months.

What’s included?

Short story publication package (3 things):

1. Storytelling Masterclass

“Publish Your Research (or Stories) as a Collection of Short Stories”

An engaging 3-hour interactive online workshop introducing participants to the art of storytelling.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Transform complex ideas and experiences into compelling short stories

  • Utilise storytelling techniques to engage readers emotionally

  • Communicate with audiences beyond academia or professional circles

  • Create stories that are accessible, authentic and memorable.

This workshop is suitable for researchers, professionals, community groups and anyone wishing to share important stories with a wider audience.

2. Professional Book Publication

Every anthology is professionally produced to the highest publishing standards.

Working alongside your organisation, we will:

  • Design a bespoke book cover (see our example above)

  • Develop a compelling title

  • Professionally edit and proofread every story

  • Copyedit and typeset the manuscript

  • Register the ISBN

  • Publish the finished anthology in softback and digital formats.

Selecting the Stories:

Most organisations choose to launch the programme as an internal competition.

For example:

  • A 20-story anthology includes a review of up to 40 submissions

  • A 25-story anthology includes a review of up to 50 submissions

  • Larger anthologies can be accommodated.

Following the submission deadline, our editorial team carefully reviews every story and selects those that are strongest for publication while ensuring the anthology represents a diverse and engaging collection of voices.

Every author retains the copyright to their own story and receives:

  • a complimentary copy of the published book

  • a digital PDF edition to share with colleagues, friends and family.

3. Reflection

This live 1-hour webinar, delivered by an experienced Professor, explores the value of self-reflective practice and the transformative power of storytelling. Participants will discover how reflecting on their experiences can deepen their understanding of the impact of their work, recognise the significance of their personal and professional journeys, and identify the lessons they have learned along the way.

The webinar also demonstrates how translating research, professional expertise, and lived experience into accessible stories can enhance knowledge exchange, engage wider audiences, and develop valuable transferable skills, including communication, public engagement, confidence, and reflective practice. Participants will leave with a greater appreciation of the lasting impact their stories can have - not only on others, but on their own personal and professional growth.

Impact beyond publication

For many contributors, publication is only the beginning.

We've seen authors:

  • Present their stories at national and international conferences

  • Establish local writing groups

  • Speak at community events

  • Engage patients and the public with research

  • Build confidence as writers and communicators

  • Become ambassadors for their profession or lived experience.

A published anthology creates not only a lasting legacy, but new opportunities for personal and professional development.
